This is a question Cheap Tat

OneEyedMonster remindes us about the crap you can buy in pound shops: "Batteries that lasted about an hour and then died. A screwdriver with a loose handle so I couldn't turn the damn screw, and a tape measure which wasn't at all accurate."

Similarly, my neighbour bought a lawnmower from Argos that was so cheap the wheels didn't go round, it sort of skidded over the grass whilst gently back-combing it.

What's the cheapest, most useless crap you've bought?

My mate's dad.
He and my mate are the ype of people you would like to conduct all your purchases and sales for you. They never lose money on anything, either profiting or getting use of, and their money back from pretty much everything. You know the type - snappy bastards.

Since he was sicked off from work with a tasty pension in his mid-forties, he has a lot of time on his hands and went through a stage of buying all sorts of things (mostly retro radios and clothing if memory serves) from car boot sales and charity shops and flogging them on ebay at obscene levels of profit. At one point, he was making upwards of £300 per week, but got sick of having to watch auctions and go to the post office all the time as it stopped him fishing.
