DIY disasters
I just can't do power tools. They always fly out of control and end up embedded somewhere they shouldn't. I've no idea how I've still got all the appendages I was born with.
Add to that the fact that nothing ends up square, able to support weight or free of sticking-out sharp bits and you can see why I try to avoid DIY.

Bolier room
We used to make our own flavoured vodkas in one of the bars I worked in a number of years ago. We used to put the bottles on top of the boiler in a room next to the office and staff room. it used to dissolve the sweets in a couple of days.
Come to think of it now, probably not the safest thing to do considering it was a gas boiler.
