Essential ItemsOur friend always carries 30ft of lightweight rope with him. We took the piss until we heard he got stuck in a lift, and managed to get everyone out in 5 mins.

What I carry,I carry 5 different types of currency (5 euro, 150 thai baht, 10 eastern carribian dollars, 1 american$ and various GBP) and boarding cards from every flight I've been on in the last year. thats up to thirty now.
Makes my wallet fat and annoying but I cant thrown them away. I also like having the different currencys. reminds me of places and people. I just hope one day I dont have to explain to a mugger why theres no point in robbing me for about 5ers worth of notes.
