Sadly all completely true
There's quite a few variants on the same story on the net.

Some of them refer to him as the 'irish' ringleader (he's a scouser). Must have assumed red hair + hat = Leprechaun.

His blog/twitter feed tells of the hassle he had chartering a boat to take him there in the first place.

I have absolutely every confidence it will get sorted though. It's just a waiting game at the moment.
