That's a bit unfairJust because someone is rich, doesn't mean they should be ripped off any more than someone who isn't rich. I always complain if a shop tries to do me out of money, regardless of how much it is. The shop is probably richer than the customer, so why should they haggle about a few pence if it isn't really that important?
A lot of rich people are rich because they are careful with their money, and don't allow others to rip them off.
On the other hand, a boyfriend who acts like a tight bastard... Why did you go out with him long enough to see this side of him over and over if he was such a twat?
