I knew a girl that worked for McCainsThe best bit of the spud goes to their luxury oven chips. They also supply McDonalds and use good spud for that.
The left over bits go to make reconstituted 'fries', the manky bits go to make hash-brown type things.
Then they scrape up all the left over, mangled bits off the machinery and the bottom of the bowls etc and they go to make Pringles.
True story.
Doesn't make them taste any worse though.
