I...Measure things as I am walking along, for example I tap the wall (discreetly, not blatently, because THAT would be weird!) gently with my fingertips and mark off sections...By knowing how many sections there are over a known distance I realise that eventually I will be able to walk completely blind everywhere without bumping in to things.
Probably still walk in to a pile of dog shit mind you.
