Magic SkinThe girl I used to get a lift with to school thought that birds could stand on electricity cables, train tracks etc because they had special skin. Fair enough, she was only a child but her mum then correced her by saying that it's actually because the wires are only electrified part of the way along.
How do the birds know which bit is electric... ?
