This is a question Karma

Sue Denham writes, "I once slipped out of work two hours early without the boss noticing. In my hurry to make the most of this petty victory, I knocked myself out on the car door and spent the rest of the day semi-conscious, bowking rich brown vomit over my one and only suit."

Have you been visited by the forces of Karma, or watched it happen to other people?

Thanks to Pooflake for the suggestion

St Anthony
I laughed at the badly preserved remains of St Anthony's teeth (the patron saint of accidents) at the basilica in Padua, and promptly slipped down the stone steps leading up to the display cabinet.

Fecker.

did you....
..damage your own teeth in the process, in a strange twist of irony?

That's more like it.
That's a great one.
There aren't many decent 'karma' answers here at all.
Retribution, vengeance, punishment or reward isn't karma.

v true oneinthepink but....
i think you'll find (well definitely in my life anyway) those bits of 'pure' karma just don't happen too often, if at all, so you tend to generalise revenge, reward etc.. as some sotr of comeuppance in a way. (comeuppance? i don't believe i've ever had to write that word before in my life, is that spelled correctly)

Was this...
the summer just gone. And was it just after seeing a guy in front almost do the same thing. Then followed by some very reserved monks and porters creasing up laughing?

If not then fair enough.

Shiny marble staircases in flipflops are a bad idea.

Indeed - thou shalt not take the piss out of saintly remains!
(Though we all laughed when Saint Oliver Plunkett's preserved head grew a beard and it turned out to be mould.)
