I agree with all of thisbut I'd note that the Goody phenomenon reflects more upon the country as a whole than it did on her. She made the best of the shitty hand life gave her, and I reckon most people would have done the same.
Please don't think I'm actually defending that vacuous waste of space. I'd sooner be fisted by Hellboy than spend a moment in her company.
