Van hire bigotI've just migrated to Melbourne. A few days before I left I rented a van to tranfer my shit to the shipping company. I told the bloke on the rental place of my migration plans. He came out with "Don't blame you, fewer immigrants."
This amazed me on so many levels: 1) I was about to become one of those said immigrants. 2) It showed a complete lack of awareness of Australian history. 3) It was pretty bigoted.
