During the war, there was a group of white GIs in the UK who used to go to my gran's local pub. One night they went in and were pissed off to find a group of black soldiers in "their" corner of the pub. On top of that, the white soldiers were shocked to see that the staff were washing and re-using glasses after black people had drunk from them, same as they would with white customers. They ordered the blacks out of the pub and demanded the (white) landlord smash up all the glasses that they had used, and when he refused, they kicked him out of his own pub!

Starting/continuing an american military tradition.Wherever they are, they act like they own the place and then wonder why everybody hates them.
Probably what we were like in the 19th century.
