This makes me gladthat I've had full mouth x-rays and now know that the roots of my wisdom teeth are weirdly long and bendy.
My previous dentist had tried the "you should have those wisdom teeth out now" thing with me, but I declined. The new dentist who did the x-rays basically said "I didn't think it was really necessary to take them out before, but now I'm certain of it and if anyone ever tries to tell you otherwise make them x-ray you first - they'll change their mind."

Well, quiteMy x-ray showed no apparent disconnect between the jaw and the tooth! I believe the phrase 'I have never seen anything like this was used more than once'.
