Nativity PlaysEvery year the little kids at schools all over get to put on a play. Often it's christmas themed, but the key thing is that everyone gets a part, whether it's Snowflake #12 or Mary or Grendel (yes, really).
Personally I played a 'Rich Husband' who refused to buy matches from some scabby street urchin. Never did see her again...
Who or what did you get to be? And what did you have to wear?

Back in the mists of timeWhen we were a lot younger, my brother was in a church nativity play - no idea why or even how, since we were never a church-going family, but I guess that's neither here nor there. One day my parents were otherwise engaged and he was too young (well, stupid) to go alone so, being a bit older and infinitely more responsible, I got the job of taking him along to rehearsals... where it turned out they were one person short and my terminal inability to say 'no' ensured that I ended up as one of the three wise men.
...that's all I've got. No dramatic or funny ending to the story. Gonna be a long week, I reckon.
