This is a question The nicest thing someone's ever done for me

In amongst all the tales of bitterness and poo, we occasionally get fluffy stories that bring a small tear to our internet-jaded eyes.

In celebration of this, what is the nicest thing someone's done for you? Whether you thoroughly deserved it or it came out of the blue, tell us of heartwarming, selfless acts by others.

Failing that, what nice things have you done for other people, whether they liked it or not?

Jolly nice
If it's not too cheeky, I would very much like to read your copy of Animal Farm.

I've just finished reading 1984 and thoroughly enjoyed it so have been hankering for a bit more Orwell. You can have my copy of 1984 if you want it? Or if not, I'm sure I could rustle up something that might be of interest. Gaz me if that sounds acceptable to you. Cheers!

There's a fantastic collection of essays, and some texts here: orwell.ru/library/index_en

Ooooo Well I never
That's rather spiffing. The internet's got everything hasn't it?! It's almost as if it knows everything about me. Like it's watching me all day. Controlling my behavior?

Oh well *knocks back another glass of victory gin*
