This is a question Performance

Have you ever - voluntarily or otherwise - appeared in front of an audience? How badly did it go?

Ask me tomorrow...
...because I'm playing tonight (if anyone's interested it's here www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=269427043070883 ) but if it goes like most gigs, it'll involve insulting someone, saying something crass and occasionally speaking in Cornish.

Things that come to mind are repeatedly telling the sound man that I'm getting electric shocks from the mic but no-one believes me until the guitarist touches his mic and collapses on the floor.

...being threatened with death by a bike gang because I called them a bunch of pussies. That was fun, especially as the guy who threatened to kill me had only just got out of jail for manslaughter.

...last week I managed to get the crowd to moon someone across the road who we'd been told was complaining about the noise, turned out he was just enjoying himself though.

if you are calling a bike gang a bunch of pussies
and they kill you, that counts as suicide in my book.

that said, you sound interesting. Where can I hear your music, and do you have any gigs in Cornwall between 12th and 20th of September?

Bike gangs are generally alright...
...to be honest, we've had alot of fun with some of the different gangs down here mainly involving different ways of getting totally mindless dues to whatever they've given us whilst playing (nothing feels as satisfying as a 6 foot biker pooring whisky down your throat whilst trying to play/stand/breath)

We're not playing that week (the 10th September is the closest) unfortunately,

You can find us easily on the internet by searching for Hanterhir on google or wherever or just PM me your email address and I'll send you a link to our last album...oh and there's itunes and amazon and all that jazz...not that we're proper or anything.

I also like
When I come back from, funny enough, Cornwall I'll give your music a proper listen to. I'm branching out on what I normally listen to and your music intrigues me. Ta.

Aaahh I would go as am local
but am saving it for the Pirate Party at Praa tomorrow/Sun.. is usually fucking carnage..

I too am local,
But I'm not too keen on 'Sifter, purely for the fact that I don't like any of the beer they serve so end up drinking Rattler and becoming ridiculously inebriated and feeling rough for days after. And I find some of the clientele a little, how shall I say, pompous!
And it costs a bomb to get there and back, being so out of the way!
The band looks pretty awesome though, can't believe I've not seen them before!

The electric shocks are usually because the guitar cab isn't earthed properly, or are on a different mains supply to the PA.

Ours was a badly wired plug...
...through 3 or four extension leads.

I'd spent the whole evening getting shocks from the mic and even took my (rubber soled) shoes off to check that I wasn't just really pissed and "imagining" the shocks...that gave me a bit more of a shock, but even my guitarist didn't believe me until he collapsed.

We just left him on the floor are carried on playing.
