Phobias
What gives you the heebie-jeebies?
It's a bit strong to call this a phobia, but for me it's the thought of biting into a dry flannel. I've no idea why I'd ever want to or even get the opportunity to do so, seeing as I don't own one, but it makes my teeth hurt to think about it. *ewww*
Tell us what innocent things make you go pale, wobbly and send shivers down your spine.

irrational?
Cranes. You know the ones on building sites. They fall over all the time and people tell me its irrational but when they are moving they really freak me out. I think they are stalking me.
Falling into swimming pool in the winter when its covered by the pool cover. i was told as a child that if i went near one and fell it it would be nigh on impossible to get me out cos I'd get trapped under the ice. scary.
Planes and flying
Clowns-recently i came home to the new house that i just moved into to find a clown suit on the clothes horse, like normal clothes for normal people. hence the sig
I don't drive but it really freaks me out when i'm in the car and we drive around hair pin turns, or have to do 3 or more point turns. I am a but of a nervous passenger.

you won't find this remotely comforting...
I was nearly killed by a heavy rope that was accidentally dropped from a massively high crane that was building another crane over the site where I was digging. It hasn't left me with a fear of cranes, but I am very suspicious of the twunts who can't adhere to a little Health and Safety.
Trapped under ice is terrifying though, yes. I couldn't bear to watch that Stella Artois advert with the ice skating priests.

I have to say
juts read your fear of cross sections of macaroni. it made me feel normal.
No really though cranes fall over all the time. see your story just proves how easily it could happen.
Thank you!

@CHCB
I misread you reply, I thought your were nearly hit by a rope in a nearby building site whilst you were dogging. Not that would have been embarassing as well as unfortunate.

@al
I have never been dogging. Reports of me in cars in lay-bys are just scurrilous rumours. You can't prove anything.
