This is a question Procrastination

Outlook is a wonderful tool, but not when it keeps reminding you that it is now 96 weeks since you were supposed to finish a report you haven't even started yet.

Just how lazy are you? How long will you put off the essential or the inevitable? What do you fill the time with?

(We're too lazy to write something funny here. You do it.)

How's this for lazy?

I'm Lazy when I'm loving
I'm Lazy when I play
I'm lazy with my girlfriend, a thousand times a day
I'm lazy when I'm speakin
I'm lazy when I walk
I'm lazy when I'm dancin
I'm lazy when I talk

Open up my mouth
Air comes rushin out
Nothin doin nada never how you like me now?
Wouldn't it be mad, wouldn't it be fine
Lazy lucky lady dancin lovin all the time

Ohh , I'm wicked and I'm lazy
Ohh, Don't you want to save me?

I'm lazy, lazy, lazy, lazy

There's some folks they got money &
Some folks life is sweet
Some folks make decisions &
Some folks clean the street

Now, Imagine what it feels like
Imagine how it sounds
Imagine life is perfect and every thing works out

No tears are falling from my eyes
I'm keepin all the pain inside
Now don't you want to live with me?
I'm lazy as a man can be

Ohh , I'm wicked and I'm lazy
Ohh, Don't you want to save me

I'm lazy, lazy, lazy, lazy

Imagine there's a girlfriend
Imagine there's a job
Imagine there's an answer
Imagine there's a God
Imagine I'm a Devil
Imagine I'm a Saint
Lazy money, lazy sexy, lazy outa space

No tears are falling from my eyes
I'm keepin all the pain inside
Now don't you want to live with me?
I'm lazy as a man can be

Ohh , I'm wicked and I'm lazy
Ohh, Don't you want to save me

Lazy when I work
Lazy all the day
Screamin all you like but it only fades away
I'm lazy when I'm prayin
Lazy on the job
Gota lazy mind, a lazy eye, a lazy lazy bod

Hard men, Hard Lives, Hard keepin it all inside
Good times, Good God, I'm so Lazy I almost stop

Ohh , I'm wicked and I'm lazy
Ohh, Don't you want to save me

I'm lazy, lazy, lazy, lazy

Ohh , I'm wicked and I'm lazy
Ohh, Don't you want to save me

fail
I fucking hate that song
(, Fri 14 Nov 2008, 10:05, closed)
Never heard it
But I get the feeling it's some shitty dance stuff...
(, Fri 14 Nov 2008, 10:08, closed)
It really is
Imagine the lyrics being read out by a dull, repetitive, monotonous voice, over a totally forgetable drum beat.

Tis a shite song I tells ya.

David Byrne
Never quite *got* him TBH.

I quite liked some Tom Tom Club records, but Talking Heads?

*does wavy hand gesture*

Bit dodge if you ask me, which you didn't.

I would concede that Talking Heads are an acquired taste
But his solo stuff's generally pretty good (the above is not one of his; just some dance group's song that he was invited to do the vocals for). Perhaps a bit self-consciously strange sometimes, but Look into the Eyeball was probably the best thing Microshaft ever introduced me to.

It's the 'self-consciously strange' bit
that sticks in my craw, I think.

Music being deliberately 'arty' just doesn't do it for me, but then I'm a fucking luddite.

Maybe I should give him another go...

*sticks on Kick Out The Jams*

Very subtle, I like it.
That was very lazy of you to cut & paste these lyrics.

Contrary to what people are writing above..
..David Byrne is a fucking god.

But that song annoys me.. for the simple reason that when it came out my mates decided that it described my lifestyle perfectly, and took every opportunity to sing it to me with lyrics changed around a bit. Depressingly, nothing has changed. So I'll take any Byrne song other than that one..

David Byrne/Talking Heads
I love most of his music, but some just doesn't get me going.

I've found that decorating to Talking Heads makes it so much more enjoyable (the decorating I mean), and seems to make it happen faster.
