I know this is going to sound like an Urban Myth, but I can only related as heard on This American Life podcast a week or two back.
A bloke driving down the highway when aggressive police pull him over, get him on his knees with a rifle pointed at his head because his kid had held up a sign saying 'Help, Kidnapped, Call 911'. And someone had.
