This is a question Sexism

Freddie Woo tells us: Despite being a well rounded modern man I think women are best off getting married and having a few kids else they'll be absolutely miserable come middle age.

What views do you have that are probably sexist that you believe are true?

Thank you for posting that.
This is why the idea that Sharia law is somehow compatible with modern Western ideals and morals is completely insane. Simple fact is, they're not compatible, and there's going to be a lot more trouble as the cultures continue to clash. It's a shame, and I wish it weren't so, but I find it difficult to believe otherwise.

I'm not saying that the culture that created Sharia law doesn't have value and worth, but what I am saying, without equivocation, is that I believe that my value system is not just different, it is BETTER-at least in this specific instance-because in my value system, it's just not okay for spouses to be violent to one another, no more than it would be appropriate to beat a child. Or a dog, come to think of it, really. Big fan of the "don't beat people or animals" theory of life, I am.

(edit: I am of course not talking about Dirty Things With Whips and Chains that consenting adults may choose to engage in during Sexy Times, I'm talking about violence as a result of anger or control issues.)

But
Is that any different to the Christian Corporal Punishment type people, who believe the way to live God's word is to have the woman submit to the man, and have him administer a bit of corporal Punishment?

John Safran covered something like that in his latest series "Race Relations" www.abc.net.au/tv/racerelations/
