on a related note...every child whose parents are teachers that I have known has been a total wanker - either spoilt rotten in that "let them express themselves without boundaries" way, or neurotic as hell because they were brought up like automatons and had to be perfect.
Personally, when a kid acts like that around me, I cuff it round the head or yell at it until it stops acting out - then if the parents moan, I say "I am just expressing myself". You usually get a round of applause from the onlookers.
