This is a question People with Stupid Names

There are hundreds of unfortunate people out there with silly names desparately coping with the evil their parents perpetrated upon them at birth.

So far, I've met a woman called Rusty Tharp, a child health consultant called Peter Files and have the business card for "Fab Boolaky" on my desk.

We'd like you to tell us about the people you've met or work with that have silly, inappropriate or frankly wierd names.

T'neyal
Storme
Paygan

This is a fairly urban place in Australia, and we have kids with names like "Montana".

I know of a female client at my place of business who enjoyed the last name of "Balbinder." Pronounced as it looks.

The legend of The Twins originated in my hometown of Atlanta, GA: "Lemonjello" and "Orangejello". I am aware of a few websites claiming their existence is an urban legend, and they very well may be because I've never personally met them, but I know of four separate upstanding people from four different Atlanta social-service agencies who have told me about them in the context of providing government funds and services to their mother and the rest of her kids. I'm still naming my next two pets after them regardless.

On my 1st day in further education, the course leader stood in front of about 150 apathetic students and pronounced " hello all I'm Bob Hole".

University Course Blokes
Couple for you. There was this one guy who was Chinese on my Uni Course called Bin Lei Na.

The other is slightly more obscure, but some Chinese people give themselves English names (I dunno if it's translated or it's what they choose).

Anyway, the original name was Ling Buh Ti. In the guy's stupidity he changed his first name to Chip.

Business cards
When working for a company that produces stationery, you often come across certain customers with interesting names. A local company, whose name I'll not divulge, had hundreds of staff and regularly requested new business cards.

The best name ever had to be Anil Mistry.

Most recently...
..I've been receiving letters from one "Nicola Muff" from the council here.

It's almost sweet, really. Apart from the fact she told me her husband's name - in good humour but in all seriousness - is Roger.

Ooh, and I know a Christopher Moss too.. As in Merry ChrisMoss.

I once got an email
from what I presumed to be a robot. It informed me that I had x amount of open calls, in the Helpdesk system, that I had to deal with.

I assumed it was a robot, because surely no-one could possibly actually be called:

TROY CHALLENGER

"Sounds like a comic-book hero!" I said scathingly. To which Troy replied "No, it's actually my name. Hi... we haven't been introduced... you are?"

cue red face from me, and hilarity ensuing in the office.
