This is a question Tightwads

Top Tips...
Reading my nan's "Take a Break" magazine I found the section where readers send in money-saving ideas...

"When out shopping I often pay for various items using gift vouchers I've bought for myself, that way I get a lovely blank card and envelope which are ideal for Birthdays."

Seriously, why bother?

Are you sure
This idea wasn't in the top tips section in The Viz?

To be fair though, those Take a Break sections are as good as Top Tips. Some fucking ludricous ideas in there as you've pointed out.

I could quite easily spend a whole day reading
Take A Break's tips section.

"Why spend money on a new pair of curtains? Look at this set of curtain my friend Doris made using last week's Sun newspaper"

YES
I too love those honking 'top tips'...my all time fave had to be...

"Dont throw out those padded shoulder pads from worn items, save them all up and make a lovely 'patchwork' duvet"

...erm, how many items with shoulder pads in them does a person have, seriously...
