This is a question My most treasured possession

What's your most treasured possession? What would you rescue from a fire (be it for sentimental or purely financial reasons)?

My Great-Uncle left me his visitors book which along with boring people like the Queen and Harold Wilson has Spike Milligan's signature in it. It's all loopy.

Either that or my Grandfather's swords.

Sadly
there's usually (albeit not always) an additional untold non-TV appeal-friendly story.

I live in (admittedly a fairly genteel end of) Hackney and you wouldn't believe the number of local 'good sweet boys who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time' who get involved in violent incidents because actually they're vicious little bastards up to their necks in violence and crime...

No good on TV though is it? You need crying relatives and 'why? he was never in any trouble' speeches, not 'well, the little rat ran with a local crew of criminals and is likely to have been stabbed by a drug dealing rival - so, please come forward with any information etc etc'

Not that I'm saying this is the case with that fellow on the weekend.

EDIT or that just because you're a bit of a wrong'un that murdering you is therefore somehow OK, either. Came out sounding a bit callous there.

I don't really know how relevant any of this is to the Tulip's post. Sorry
