Not unusual
I had similar experiences as a kid. Apparently, so far as my 4 year old vocab could describe, the bearded person I told my folks about sounded very similar to my grandfather, who died when my mum was pregnant with me.

Can't say it's made any real lasting impression and the last time I tried to mention it (some 35 years since it happened), my mum got dead upset and so it's never been discussed again. Granted, she had a huge problem with me talking about my childhood as I spent a lot of it being fostered by people.
