This is a question I witnessed a crime

Freddy Woo writes, "A group of us once staggered home so insensible with drink that we failed to notice someone being killed and buried in a shallow grave not more than 50 yards away. A crime unsolved to this day."

Have you witnessed a crime and done bugger all about it? Or are you a have-a-go hero?
Whatever. Tell us about it...

Too far?
I live round Croydon*. There was a girl who lived in my road who was gorgeous. As in drop dead gorgeous. I never made a move though and secretly hated myself for it, until..

I was closing my curtains when I saw a car pull up outside her house. It was her and her boyfriend. Next thing I know, they're having a fight. As in seriously. Before I could do a thing I see her slump to the floor in a puddle of blood. What could I do? I did what anyone else would have done.

got dressed, corssed the road and had sweet sex upon her still warm corpse.

And now the police are telling me that's illegal and charging me with her murder. surely anyone would have done the same?

*anything from this point onwards may be a lie, well, it is in fact a lie and is based on a current case (Sally Ann bowman)

Click I like this if you wanted to be in the room when the defnding barrister suggested to the defendant that 'I only had sex with her cropse' was the best form of defence.

best line of defence
I've been amazed at this one myself, how far down the slope have you slid before necrophilia becomes your best line of defence ?

nearly as good as the bloke who's dna was found on 3 dead prozzies and 2 of their bloods on him, and forensic links to a total of 5 bodies claiming it's just coincidence....

He could have used said prozzies in the recent past.

BLOOD. Not semen. BLOOD!

Is he claiming he availed himself of their services whilst they were on the rag?

Maybe...
...perhaps he got a discount that way?

One hand on the keyboard and the other on my coat...

Word at the
Old Bailey bar mess is that plenty of eye-rolling goes on when the defending silk gets asked about Dixie (name of defendant). But he has to do his duty and put his client's case.

I may go and watch his closing speech, which will have to run along the lines of "you can't convict him for being lucky, members of the jury". Or maybe "you've seen her photo -- who wouldn't have done the same thing?"

I was in the same court as the Dixie trial last week, there is SO much material. And he's in a no-lose situation, if he fights a trial he won't get much extra on his likely 30 year tariff, so he may as well give it a go. 2 year max for necrophilia...
