The Worst Journey in the WorldAspley Cherry Garrard was the youngest member of the Scott Polar Expedition when he and two others lost their tent to the winds of a night-time snowstorm. They spent hours in temperatures below -70°F stumbling about the ice floes hoping they'd bump into it as it was their only hope of survival.

Worst Journey EverIn 1977 I was waiting for the London train at Crewe railway station, the train arrived and was packed, there was one seat left in my carraige, I found myself in a race with a short dark haired chap with a funny nose. He got the seat, looked up at me and said "Don't be blue Peter".
Needless to say HE had the last laugh
