how's your day shaping up?

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 7:56, archived)
Not too bad so far
Although changing at Bank as part of my new commute is really starting to get on my tits. How's the nipper?
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 8:19, archived)
she seems chirpy enough
still has to stay at home though, because MASSIVE DRUGS
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 8:25, archived)
I wish they'd hurry up and invent teleportation

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:12, archived)
yeah I'm not reading all that

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:13, archived)
Probably wise

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:13, archived)
definitely wise, i just ctrl-f'd and the word tits doesn't appear even once

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:53, archived)
Morning.
Left my phone at home today, like a numpty.
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 8:02, archived)
good
you can experience a 20th Century day

Morning
I really am going to have to dig my winter gloves out of the box at the back of the shed. Cycling in to work is just plain silly now.
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 8:03, archived)
can't you cycle with your hands in your pockets like a hero?

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 8:26, archived)
You know my track record for injury and mishaps
I may as well sponsor a seat at A&E
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:20, archived)
Alright grrry , if you've got 5k knocking about there's a smashing 5513 for sale on a watch forum

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 8:26, archived)
what's the expected return a year from now?

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 8:36, archived)
6 but I think there is a price rise due again soon , so maybe more

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 8:39, archived)
20% isn't bad for a year.

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:25, archived)
I can't find an 1988 one for anywhere near 5k, it's a bargain , probably get 6 if you just flip it as soon as you buy it

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:14, archived)
Hey Grrrmachine,
Jesus man!
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 8:27, archived)
like, woah, totally!

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 8:37, archived)
I recently read the plot of that film
It's...well, you be the judge.
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 8:50, archived)
we should remake it
make it lol wakki and edgy, put a few knob gags in
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:01, archived)
Replace every use of the word 'jesus' with 'hashtag cockmonster'

alright
that new cloverfield is a big pile of plops
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 8:54, archived)
I wasn't all that keen on the first one, to be honest
Good idea on paper.
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 8:55, archived)
i thought it was ok, and the second one is pretty great
although they're all just films that were already in production that got bought and tweaked (disgusting) by jj abrams to fit the cloverfield mould
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:50, archived)
Fuck JJ Abrams

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:54, archived)

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:12, archived)
first one was alright as shakycam movies go

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:00, archived)
I just buy real butter now

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:00, archived)
Cloverfield seems to be an exercise in making a series of films where none of them has anything to do with the other ones.
First one: shakycam found footage Godzilla copycat.

Second one: psychological thriller with an is he/isn't he crazy? baddie.

Third one: uninspired rip-off of Event Horizon, which itself was pretty naff.
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:05, archived)
Yeah, Event Horizon wasn't very good, was it? I can never understand the following it has

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:07, archived)
It was pretty pants, alright.
The Transformers films have a huge following too and they're aggressively terrible, so I guess there's no accounting for taste.
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:10, archived)
I dunno, if you're a 14 year old future rapist with ADHD and a love of shiny things I can perhaps see the appeal

That's Michael Bay's target audience in a nutshell.

it's one of my core strengths

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 11:02, archived)
I found my eldest watching one of the later films on Netflix (whichever one it is where Galvatron is a swarm of metal bees).
When questioned, he replied that it was so bad that he couldn't stop looking at it.
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:32, archived)
not the bees!

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:59, archived)
There's not much to recommend that film but, like Ghost Rider 2,
Nic Cage chewing on the set almost makes it worthwhile.
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:03, archived)
Nic Cage chews the ever-living shite out of the set in everything he does.

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:07, archived)
I tried watching that rapture film he was in.
He looked uncommonly bored.
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:12, archived)
ghost rider 2 is a decent enough watch

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:14, archived)
It's terrible.
Ciarán Hinds getting his soul removed before filming was an admirable commitment to the role, but more than the film deserved.
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:17, archived)
that big flaming bagger 288 though

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:34, archived)
That looks like something I would type.

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 11:03, archived)
People keep using this 'chewing the set' phrase and I don't understand what it means
I'm sure it's very 'noir'
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:40, archived)
Hamming it up, overacting, etc.
Presumably because the exaggerated mouth movements made by some ham actors when mangling their lines are enough for parts of the set to fall in inadvertently.
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:42, archived)
That's a really shit, stupid phrase
No offence
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:50, archived)
I didn't come up with it, so no offence taken.

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:55, archived)
I'm sure you'd love "milking the giant cow".

Is that having a go on Kerry Katona?
If so I'm game
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 11:05, archived)
I bet she is.

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 11:07, archived)
I liked Event Horizon.
Was a better Doom film than the actual Doom film, and works as a sort of prequel to the Warhammer 40k universe, too. Shame all the cut footage of hell got destroyed, though.
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:18, archived)
I liked Event Horizon
had no idea what it was about when a friend took me to see it, I'd dropped some kind of contraband pill just before hand and thought the whole thing was a raving hoot. My perspective may have been skewed.
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:22, archived)
It's probably a lot more entertaining when watched after coming home from a long session in the pub,
or when on a few massive drugs.
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:31, archived)

www.mcdonalds.com/gb/en-gb/latest/big-mac.html
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:19, archived)
So...the Mac Jr is just a standard cheeseburger. Or am I missing something?

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:23, archived)
You've missed the fact it isn't a cheese burger it's a big Mac, different bun, different sauce, with lettuce , so nothing like a cheese burger

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:26, archived)
Fair enough.
I still think they're being a bit cheeky calling it a Mac but it's been a hell of a long time since I last went to Macca's and I can't see that changing in the near future.
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:29, archived)
The cheese is under the pattie, but it's still a cheeseburger, just with whatever the special sauce is.

Mayonnaise with onions in it.

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:55, archived)
And a seeded bun and lettuce, Christ you lot are dumb

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:53, archived)
True, McDonalds don't put lettuce in their basic cheeseburgers,
but I don't think the addition of either that, or seeds on the bun, would elevate a cheeseburger into something that isn't a cheeseburger.
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 9:57, archived)
THANK YOU.
It's a burger bun with a beef patty and a slice of cheese in it. It's a cheeseburger.

i'm glad you two fucking stupid fucking cunts found each other

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:12, archived)
About a million years ago, when in New York, I went to McDonalds
and bought the 'TRIPLE CHEESEBURGER'. When I got it, I was disappointed to find it was just a bun with three patties and three slices of cheese. Not sure what I was expecting, tbh.
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:14, archived)
they could've at least put it in a seeded bun with some lettuce

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:16, archived)
bloody americans, know what I mean?

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:17, archived)
hahaha no not really

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:19, archived)
Lettuce, seeded bun, patties, cheese, but no special sauce?
I'm not sure their marketing department would know how to handle that.
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:19, archived)

this, probably
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:39, archived)

do you think they get as bent out of shape about the whopper?
or the big king? or a wetherspoons 'ultimate burger'? or any burger from any place in the country that uses any term other than 'cheeseburger'?

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:35, archived)
Eh, I'm hold no strong opinions about McDonalds.
I just like to call a cheeseburger a cheeseburger.
(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:14, archived)
So a big Mac is just a double cheeseburger to you , I think you are an idiot

(, Wed 7 Feb 2018, 10:18, archived)
Big Macs have an extra slice of bun, that's somewhat unusual.
But, yes, to the layperson who doesn't take an interest in the intricacies of the McDonalds menu, they're just large(ish) cheeseburgers. Hence, the Mac Jr is just a cheeseburger - I reckon most people would put lettuce in a cheeseburger, and burger buns tend to be topped with sesame seeds.
I'm sorry I can't get as excited about their special sauce as you, mongy, or their marketing department.
