Fun fact: I provided the background image for the Withnail and I DVD. The distributors wanted to use that specific image but couldn’t find a high resolution copy. I ran a Withnail fan site at the time so they asked if I could get hold of it. I said I could.
When I was a student, I’d bought an A1 poster of that picture from the Forbidden Planet in Liverpool. I took it into work and the design team scanned it in A4 pieces and reassembled it in Photoshop. We cleaned it up and sent it over, and that’s what’s on the DVD. A scan of my poster.
