You're absolutely right. A lot of those examples *are* pretty mainstream in the UK.But that's generally because we've largely become a nation of brainwashed, doomscrolling, flagshagging fuckwits with zero capacity for critical, independent thought thanks in no small part to companies like Facebook and Tiktok deliberately feeding us inflammatory ragebait in order to keep us engaged with their platforms.
If you were a really cynical/paranoid cunt like me, you might even suspect that the whole thing feels like a collaborative effort by our Sino-Russian pals to destabilise the social cohesion of Western states to ensure we're too busy fighting amongst ourselves to successfuly defend against a hostile incursion and subsequent occupation of the country.
But I can understand why people might find that to be a controversial take.
