It was a Mafia jobActually, that reminded me of something. The fireproofing on the interior frame of the WTC was a Mafia job- the Gambinos and other undesirables pocketed the cash from corrupt New York officials but didn't bother to fireproof the whole lot- there were huge areas without fireproofing. Of course it wouldn't have mattered had Al Qaeda not decided to fly passenger jets into the towers, but there you go... the ultimate example of shoddy workmanship exposed.
