Next:This is a horrible thing that happened to my cousin. She has daughter, about 3 at the time, and a husband who's in the army and therefore away a lot. She lived in a cottage on the edge of her parents in law's land (they're loaded). Since they'd moved into this cottage her daughter had got an imaginary friend, a little boy she used to play with. They thought this was normal enough being an only child living in the middle of nowhere. After a while however she started saying that she didn't want to play with him anymore, so thinking it was an imaginary friend her mum just said well you don't have to just don't. This went on for some time and the daughter started getting quite upset that this boy kept coming back and she really didn't want to play with him, she wouldn't say why she just didn't like him anymore. One night when she was in one of these states her mum said she could sleep in her bed with her so he wouldn't come and ask her to play.
My cousin got woken in the middle of the night to her daughter screaming and being dragged down the bed and off the end. My cousine didn't see the boy just what he was doing which was very physical.
She grabbed the keys and drove in her nighty to her parents in laws' and wouldn't go back in the house till they did something.
They got the local priest in to excorcise and investigate. On looking in the church records he found out that a family had lived there who'd had a son, they think he may not have been baptised because for some reason when he died at the age of 4 he was buried in the garden and not in the churchyard. There had been no children living in the house since.
The theory was he was just as lonely as my cousins daughter had been, stuck in the house for years with no one to play with and got violent when he thought he'd be left alone again because she didn't want to play. Quite sad really.
