I'm not the biggest fan of it eitherwhich would explain my desecration of this above image. However you may consider this:
In South East Asia with cell phone sales exploding, cell phone video games and videos and such there is an entire market there for anyone who has drawing skills. I know you're more into the Ren & Stimpy style which is really cool but if you could make a shitload of money, would you turn it down even if it meant that you had to draw anime?
Edit: not to mention the video games and the DVD and VCD disks, movies, tv shows, etc.
Edit 2: and if you could get a work visa and go and work there for a couple of years with all those Japanese chickies swooning at some young American guy. Shit, you're young, this is your time to travel and see the world. You never know. It could be interesting.
