quite true.
Islam says respect other faiths as long as they don't pose a very real threat to you.
Judaism has no real standing on the matter and for many thousands of years it's been 'I'm Jewish, you're not, meh.' Only now that the Hasidim (Ultra-Orthodox) have too much of a say has the whole 'My god is better than yours.' thing been getting bad press. (It's worse as well, 'I'm Hasidic, you're Reform, you're beneath me.')
The whole thing in the Middle East isn't about Religion anyway, it's entirely politics. Israel was made as a state, not as a religious homeland, but as one away from some quite heavy anti-semitism in Europe for a good while, remember the Jews killed Jesus... During the Crusades the Jews were persecuted in Europe and when they were there they helped out the Muslims. Nearly 50% of Palestine was Jewish before WW2 anyway, there was a Palestine recruitment surge by the British Army, 30,000 Jews joined 3 Jewish Brigades; so they had to be there in the first place.
The whole Middle East thing isn't about gods (it's the same god anyway), but is about politics (as said before). Yasser Arafat, the great fighter of the people, had a pretty cushy life. He even had a fucking Paris Apartment. It's about power. Also, Iran = Persion, to the West of Iran = Arab; to stop any Persian-Arab conflict just blame Israel for everything. That gets them off your back.
