Given the classic market relies on people maintaining their own cars
I can't see how the last twenty years of computer controlled fuel mixtures is going to last. I'm not too worried about petrol, there'll likely always be some around even if you have to go to specialist garages.

even ECUs can be replaced by aftermarket stuff like megasquirt
but LCD displays, they're fucked. You'd have to have someone order brand new copies from China to original spec and that costs $$$

My mate had to scrap his GSXR 600 because of an errant multiplug and seemingly no place for it to go anywhere on the loom or ecu.
Several autosparks were stumped.

Megaquirt's going to be beyond a lot of people.
I had a look into it a while ago and felt full of "fuck that".
