Pancake
My mother tells a story about a cat named Midnight she had growing up. A neighbor called to say he'd been hit by a car.
They went down to get the corpse, and it was gone. A few days later my grandfather found it in their garage, hiding behind a wheelbarrow. The vet said it was a goner, but my grandmother nursed it back to life feeding it eggs through an eye dropper. It's face was permenantly squashed, though, so Midnight became Pancake.
