"Don't look in the back!"
This is more a story of life off-stage but...
I was in a production of Wind in the Willows, and transporting home two of the junior chorus afterwards. These two girls had been weasels, and they were dollwed up in the style of 60's bobby-girls, with flared petticoated skirts, fishnets, and tight tops. They were also, being in a show, made-up to high heven with caked-on makeup.
They both sat in the back of my car, and this - yes, this - would be the night that the police pull me over for a routine check on the way home! They asked me to get out, and ran my license through the system and what have you, gave me a few funny looks, and sent me on my way.
I thank Christ to this day that they didn't take a closer look at the backseat occupants of my car who looked for all the world like a pair of under-aged prostitutes!

Brussel Sprouts
My brother and myself hated brussel sprouts. WOuldn't touch them. What we *did* love, however, were 'fairy cabbages'. These little, teeny tiny cabbages, made byt he fairies that were place don our plates by magic. It was so wonderful an idea that we lapped them up.
It was only when we were about twenty that we discovered that, in reality, fairy cabbages were, in fact, brussel sprouts!
Note that none of this makes any sense, as we hated cabbage as well, but what can I say, we were only little...

Dunno why, but this always brings back memories of going back to my mates house after school. He lived on a houseboat, and we spent hours reading back issues of 2000AD. I remember one Judge Dredd story about a Robodoc who went berserk and starting cutting people up...
