» Lies Your Parents Told You
Again, not parents but worthy of a laugh
My girlfriend's sister is always good for winding up. Year before last she saw a green, unripe pumpkin in Asda. She pointed it out in amazement to which we told her all pumpkins are green and there's a mass industry painting them orange for Halloween each year.
She ended up asking her 8 year old's teacher...

» Irrational Fears
3 daft fears
After watching the beginning of American Werewolf in London aged 9, I was petrified of opening the curtains for years in case something was lurking behind them. Nowadays, as a hangover from watching Critters about the same age, I have to keep the curtains closed at night for fear of seeing something in the dark looking back at me. Bloody monsters.
My mate though, has an interesting fear of umbrellas (though only open ones). We didn't know until we went to Edinburgh one weekend and it pissed it down. I've never seen him so uneasy as walking down the Royal Mile with umbrellas at every turn
edit - oh wait, just remembered I also can't cope with going down on escalators - though up is fine. This is very cathartic you know.
