Using the Force
Walking up to automatic doors and making a little Ben Kenobi hand movement in perfect synchronisation with the doors opening.
Just me?

Piss poor
Never try begging for nightbus money when you've lost your wallet, reek of spirits and have somehow managed to piss all over your trousers. Londoners can be so judgemental. I needed 2 quid - one to get me to Camden, another for the final leg. Managed to scrounge the first one and made it to Camden. The second one was a struggle though. Then I found my travel card in my back pocket. Twat.

Look Mum....
As I came out of my room in a Bangkok hostel, I noticed a man with no arms trying to get into his room down the corridor.
Feeling helpful, I walked up to him and came out with the timeless classic, 'Do you want a hand, mate?'
His expression still makes me cringe to this day.

During my dope obsessed mid-teens my mates and I found ourselves unable to afford/score (I forget which) any gear one late summer afternoon. We spent several hours picking spliff butts out of the park where we'd whiled away our days for most of the last couple of months, then painstakingly picked them apart and extracted any bits of unsmoked hash. I think we just about scraped enough together for one joint. Which tasted like shit. Not a high point in my life. No pun intended.

People
People who stand right in front of the doors of an ascending lift at Tufnell Park tube station and then act surprised when they have to leap out of the way as 30 or so commuters spill out en masse. EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT.
NNNNGH!!!
What do they think, that it's some sort of magic capsule designed only to take them from station to platform???
Oh dear. I'm getting old, aren't I...
