» Hidden Treasure

somethings should never be found
Was reading through these replies I remembered finding what some may call treasure.... It's not so much what i found but where i found it

i shudder as i type this one

When I was little i used to be posted off to my nan's for the weekend (most weekends apparently) so my parents could have alone time which would explain why 1 of us turned into four! Anyway I must of been 5/6 and during one of my weekend stays at my nan's i was put to bed as usual and in the room where i slept was a secret staircase anyway i was told never to go up there... well even then didn't respond well to the words no, don't and i'm warning you.. so i went up there and found a tin one of the those you get at christmas when people don't know what else to get you but a huge tin of crap biscuits.... well when i finally opened it contained porn playing cards and a few packs of them as well as some porn magazines...not something you expect to find at your nans - thinking back they were possibly spanish i make this assumption as to the big black permed hair and mostaches!!!

Unfortantly didn't manage to put them back exactly where i found them - which led to a strange conversation with my step-grandad about secrets and how my nan didn't need to know about them

unfortunately can't remember if i did tell my nan about them but the tin was never seen again and i started staying with my other nans!

no weapons or cash but disturbing

» It's not me, it's the drugs talking

Unfortunately unable to remember my drug stories one about my brother
Must have been about 2 years ago now and my brother decided to start experimenting with drugs like his not so much wiser big sister and got hold of some acid. Now my parents were away leave me and my three brothers to look after the house. A few hours into my shift my mobile starts ringing and it's my brother, screaming down the phone he needs me to come home. So I see about leaving as I am needed at home, unfortunately I worked and still work in a call centre and wasn't able to take any leave. In a moment's desparation I had to tell one of the managers my brother had taken acid and was home alone- never quite been the same with me since.

So when outside rang my boyfriend at the time to pick me up so i could go home and see to him - armed with orange juice i found him pale as a sheet on the landing muttering something about skeleton coming out of his curtains

After cartons of orange juice and me trying not to laugh the story unfolded.

The muppet had taken half decided it wasn't doing anything and then decided to take another one and a half on his first time, realising he was going down a very bad trip in his room because of the skeletons coming out of the curtains he decided to sleep it off in my room in which in his words "there was a party going on and I wasn't invited"

He hasn't touched them since but he has a suprise for xmas i've got him two as a xmas present because that's what big sisters are for

» Pure Ignorance

Mobile technology?
My housemate bless her is very easier confused so my brother on his frequent visits spends many an idol hour testing how much "bull" she will believe

sat talking about mobile phones and i'm talking about one of the new bluetooth headsets and how small they are getting... so my housemate says well if they are that small that they just hang off your ear where do you speak into so my brother jumps in that you can place a microphone the size of a smartie under your tongue....you could see the cogs turning in her head at this point.

Next morning before i leave for work she says to me "don't get that headset i'm worried you might cough one day and swallow it"

I didn't have the heart to tell her otherwise

» How I Skive Off Work

My best job for skiving
I am queen of skiving where i work (don't mean to brag but managers are amazed i have got away with it for soo long!!)-

Anyway my first job whilst at college was working in a cash and carry with my then boyfriend and his mates and if they was a skive in it we found it - my best would have been the tea run which was like a bit of an assault course you tell one floorwalker you were making tea and then you would have to sneak past the other one by dodging between each of the aisles... it was like something out of the great escape. once you made it into the tearoom you would pass the signal for the others to follow once all five of us was in the tea room we could play cards/sleep/etc

Reaching my point honest..

anyway once we did take the Pi** a little as all of us was in the tearoom when someone ran in and said the boss was on his was and all of us trying to hide in a number of cupboards but unfortunately we were not quick enough

punishment two weeks on the tils where we were watched constantly and allowed no tea breaks

loved that job tho *sniff*

» It was a great holiday, but...

Not my holiday
It was before my time but here goes

Before I was born almost 27 years ago and my mother the poor thing spent her honeymoon heavily pregnant in rome with my dad and two friends. One of their friends, Sue was a RE teacher (uck - long story for another board)and was looking forward to a a visit to the Vatican.

Well on the day they decide to visit while my mom is soaking her feet in a fountain Sue comes running over with a italian paper sayin the Pope has died - he only reigned literally weeks my mom says. So that was her worse holiday for both my mom and her friend as she didn't get to go to the Vatican.

My mom blames me - well i'm off to Italy in a couple of weeks - lets see how long the next one lasts ;o)

Also my mom's holiday was almost ruined when my dad got drunk at the airport on her last day of flying.

Would have been great to have been born in italy. nevermind

apologises for length and possible lack of point.
