Lip Piercing
A friend of mine had her lip pierced a few years back. She found that when she took the bar out, she could spray milk out of the hole.
Even when hadn't been drinking milk at the time.
Turns out it had become infected and she hadn't noticed. She'd been "milking" pus from her lip, and aiming it at us. Charming girl.
A few months later though, she somehow managed to grow skin over both sides of the bar, and had to get it cut out. Serves her bloody right.
Delicious.

I had a best friend when I was about 14.
I was staying at her house one night, and she had to leave the room to make a phone call/ take a shower or something. I saw her diary, and decided to have a read. The whole thing was about me - about how worried she was about me (I was going through a bout of depression), and how she wanted me to know how much she loved me. There were also details of some rather risque dreams she'd had about me, which took me by surprise, as I had no idea she thought of me like that at that point.
I never saw her in the same way, and I'm so disappointed in myself for invading her privacy - as it ruined what could have been a life-long friendship.

Boom Boom Ted
When I was a little kid, I had a teddy bear called Boom Boom Ted. He was called this because he had something in his chest which made a heart beat sound when pressure was applied. I assume that this was supposed to comforting, but as a four or five year old, nightmares with unrelenting heartbeats running through them were quite awful.
After one particularly horrific nightmare (in which I was a soldier and going to war in the back of an army truck, which crashed and began rolling over and over and over...) I decided that enough was enough, and decided to do something about it. My mother was rather upset to see me tearing my "favourite" (and most expensive) teddy bear to pieces.
Apologies for the lack of relevance to the question but I'm sure I mentioned being scared somewhere, so it will have to do.
