Profile for Metasapien (a.k.a SiJaDa):
Brilliant, yet chronically underachieving polymath (note to any b3ta 'M's: i.e. the kind you've all met at FMOTMs...).
Once graduated in theoretical physics, and would probably be working at CERN now if only I hadn't spent most of my university career partying, playing chess/othello/RPGs and getting wasted :-(
Now work in IT (for my sins), which isn't exactly *stimulating* (not when compared to theoretical physics, at least), but probably gives me a better social life than I would have as a research boffin :-)
I split my spare time mainly between my 'three Ms':-
**Music** - mostly electronic, modern dance & ambient
**Mathematics** - Reading and doing. Once discovered a property of self-similarity in permutation groups that no one else seemed to know about. I fancy having a go at solving the Quantum Yang-Mills problem (http://www.claymath.org/Millennium_Prize_Problems/Yang-Mills_Theory/) though I suspect some lucky bastard who's now working at CERN (or one of the other employers of all those whose university lives were dull, sober and conscientious) instead of *me* will beat me to it...
**Men** - any cute homo-b3tans out there?
I'm also into weight-training, writing (currently working on three books, all on different subjects (mathematics, sci-fi and gay fiction)) and languages.
When I'm not being annoyingly polymathic, I can be found down the pub with my workmates who, patient and kindly souls that they are, frequently indulge my desire to discuss the finer points of quantum physics, which usually kicks in sometime after my sixth vodka & Red Bull...
