A couple of weeks ago...
I was driving home and stopped for a pedestrian who was inexplicably walking down a country road, but the car behind me decided not to. After four hours I gave in to their insurance company hounding me and booked my car in to have the necessary repairs, the following day had to go to the doctors for the neck pain which was diagnosed as 'whiplash that'll need physio'. So as I'd been instructed, I rang their insurance company and relayed the information, answered a few questions, waited on hold for a minute, and was then told that I'd be getting £150 for the physiotherapy and £700 compensation. For a claim I had no intention of making. I had the option of going through the courts and claiming more, but it turns out that £700 is exactly the amount of money it takes for me not to be arsed. AND the car got valeted.

So to answer the original question, I'll let someone drive their car into mine and have a few days of hurty neck in exchange for £850 and a clean vehicle.

caffeine come down
I used to work for an IT company doing networks and stuff out on clients' sites. On one occasion, I was working in a serviced office where I was basically sent in and left to do what I needed to do, with the customer's parting words being "There's a drinks machine down the corridor, it's free so help yourself."

11am I'm 9 coffees in, bouncing off the walls, eyes out on stalks, and getting more work done faster than I've ever done before, managing to get a day's work done in half the time.

2pm I'm back at the office on the biggest comedown of my life, just sitting in a corner of the room knowing full well why I "look so sad".

My coworkers showed me so much support by laughing their tits off at me for the rest of the day.

» Racist grandparents

I'll never forget that Christmas when...
...my Grandmother was telling all who would listen that they shouldn't let ANY foreigners into this country, dirty sponging bastards the lot of them. She had full agreement from Grandad. That'll be Grandad from southern Italy who was brought over as a PoW (rumour has it that his bags had been packed for three days by the time the English turned up) and hadn't really left.

Tomo
People (usually female) abbreviating "Tomorrow" into "tomo". It doesn't even sound the same! How the hell does that work? "tomoz" is bad enough but vaguely understandable, but "tomo"? In my head, that's short for "tomato".

Fucktards on MSN or in emails going around work having to use txt spk and drop Gs off the end of words. Why? Why do you need to abbreviate in an email? You're not limited in how many characters you can use.
