A great many years ago
a friend and I decided to enter an awesome creation in Lego for the county fair. I suggested the Notre Dame Cathedral. After hours of work, we had created a pretty decent version of the front bit, complete with flying buttresses, stained glass windows (made from the radar dishes from the moonbase set backed with colored cellophane), the whole nine yards. I thought it had a good chance.
A couple days later, I went over to his house, just to discover he had torn it all down. Because he wanted to play with his moonbase set.
Idiot.
