Don't get me started on the TV licensing's retarded view of how they administer DD payments.
I'm quite angry about it already.

What's confusing about it?
You merely pay a sum each month (which is different from month to month and comes out on random dates), then you pay 6 months in advance of what you actually need and then at the end of those six, pay for 13 more (with 6 being at a different rate).

*brain assplodes*
My biggest beef with them at the moment is that I'm trying to switch from annual DD to monthly DD, but I don't really see what I should have to pay for 6 months TWICE.

I think...
It's to rope you in, so they've always got 6 months payment in advance. So you're £70 down should you decide not to renew :) they're bastards.

That's what I thought...
...but strangely enough when I decided to rid myself of all my idiot boxes and tell them to stick their stupid licence they refunded my advance payments.
I was fucking stoked

If you are blind or partially sighted, then you may be eligible for a cheaper license to kill.
If your victims bleed in black and white, you need only pay £46.50 per annum.
