# 1010101
anyone know if it is possible to make the b3ta search do an AND search rather than an OR? AND or + don't seem to do it
(, Sat 5 Apr 2003, 15:19, archived)
# what?
.

# He means, (in code)
Go and Listen to Nirvana Unplugged on this fine day and feel great about things.
"What else can I say? Everyone is gay!"

# now that
is a fine idea. i shall stick it on after i have finished listening to early 90s dance classics :)

# I once heard a little voice tell me to listen to In Utero
Sort of in my head. I hadnt heard it for years.
I finally plucked up the courage to a week later, and promptly forgot why I'm telling you this.

"I take pride as the king of illiterature."

# using this
b3ta.com/board/search.php

i want to search for posts that contain two words. if i put them both in the search box, it returns every post that contains one or both of the words, and as they are both quite common i get a billion results.

basically i want to search for 'fu AND bar', not 'fu OR bar'

# I'd say "use Google" but it doesn't search for such short words
fubar should be one word anyhow.
(, Sat 5 Apr 2003, 15:27, archived)
# yes fubar is an acronym
so normally all one word.
(, Sat 5 Apr 2003, 15:32, archived)
# :)
i was just using it as an example, i'm really looking for a time lapse thing of some sheep running about i did near christmas, so i am searcing for 'time lapse'

# if you still have the file
search the filename before the extension

www.b3ta.com/board/597555 no pic though.

People that don't put subject lines in make it impossible to get links from the search, similarly deleted posts render all subposts ungraspable despite being viewable in the search results.

# cheers
i'm getting there. it's a bit daft, cos i know i uploaded the video somewhere but i have no idea where
(edit) hurrah, found it
(, Sat 5 Apr 2003, 15:44, archived)
# er
why not just search for "lapse", because it's unlikely to get much use on it's own.
(, Sat 5 Apr 2003, 15:49, archived)
# unless you're trying to find a Bruce Lee themed drinking
establishment or something.
(, Sat 5 Apr 2003, 15:34, archived)
# no you can't
try and use google or just search what you think is the least popular term and then use the 'find' tool in your web browser to search the results page.
(another secret trick revealed ;)
(, Sat 5 Apr 2003, 15:22, archived)
# yeah, i've been trying that
i think for some reason its not throwing up the post anyway. bugger. thanks anyway

(edit) what's all this about then?

# just ask fnord
he knows what every post ever said.
(, Sat 5 Apr 2003, 15:28, archived)
# well maybe not EVERY one
but one or two maybe :)
(, Sat 5 Apr 2003, 15:41, archived)
# if you wold me what you were after maybe
i'm sure there must be less common search terms included maybe I can help.
Maybe you should call - The F-Team.

That is a little suprise for any numerophiles who idly decide to see what that particular 'binary style' message is
(, Sat 5 Apr 2003, 15:31, archived)
# all i can work out
is that 1010101 is the letter U.
I might be wrong of course
(, Sat 5 Apr 2003, 15:56, archived)
# There's 10,101 different ways of looking at it.
Any one is equally valid :)
