Nah, they weren't punks. The whole coxcomb thing was minimal at the time and only for tourists to take photos of!Mostly it was jeans, leather bombers and a band t-shirt. If there was anything in your hair it was usually a mixture of thrown beer or gob!
Mind you, I did go purple for a bit, but never with the ridiculous spikes, just short and spiky...
