I've never seen it so slow here...
Is there something incredible on the telly or something?

I'm up late because I was busy posting undeniable artistic masterpieces at 1:10AM.
Love the pic.

It's a Bank Holiday Weekend in the UK, so excessive alcohol consumption takes precedent.
There was also the matter of the FA Cup Final, yesterday, which may have distracted an unknown percentage of b3tans.

That's probably it, Captain.
It's a long weekend here in Aus, too. Labour Day tomorrow, but I've no idea how many Aussies contribute to the board so I guess it's going to be quiet.

The great Flouncequake of 2011 took LS18, who posted a fair bit.
The aftershocks have rippled into 2012, claiming a few other frequent participants.
Twitter also claimed a large chunk of b3tans about 18 months ago. The conversations that used to be held on here were taken elsewhere, and many of those that departed rarely return.
Normally, these gaps are filled by new members, but the days of Newbie Tuesday being awash with 'L' plates also seems to have fallen dramatically.
The reasons for this are legion, and I'm sure most people have their own opinions as to what those reasons are.
EDIT: Add to that a distinct lack of Valin.

It is a bit quiet on here today, isn't it?
I mean, my thread is STILL on this page. XD

There should be a warning on pictures with small pixels, sharp points, etc.

crikey, pixels have sharp edges
unless it's on an old telly in which there are a variety of slighty rounded edges

Is innit
Maybe there are biro masterpieces in the making

Sucks :(
I'm probably gonna make a start on a biro-drawn GIF today. Dunno what I'm actually going to animate though.

I already did one of them, the one actually named Bourbon Fox.
I did have an idea of animating them both, but it's just a case of getting reference, for different angles of a gun that doesn't exist.

You'd probably find this book handy if you could find some way to order it.

I'd just be wanking over the pics of the girl wearing latex.

Interesting.
I know there's an arts and crafts shop nearby full of books like this... but they don't open till tomorrow, and the books probably cost a fortune :(

Fox with tits? :D
I was looking forward to doing some arts but my stupid old hands refuse to let me hold a biro

Hmm... maybe.
The idea mentioned above is pretty damn good. Just a case of putting it down on paper, and making it actually look decent. XD

My hand has become deformed from only ever holding a mouse and cups of tea
*but probably the claw thing as its the tendons in fingers, hand and arm up to the elbow

still, with a wielded mouse or cups of tea one can take over the world.
So it becomes a matter of perspective.

Nobby, it's plain old colouring pencils on sandpaper
Many years ago when I was a starving art-material-bereft person, I couldn't afford to buy proper toothed pastel paper or pastels, so I figured the next best thing was sandpaper. Over the course of six months, I did a lot of messing about and found that 400 - 600 grit black sandpaper gave me the best results, it takes and holds the colour brilliantly and you get this amazing soft texture! Fur and feathers come up really well with this technique, and I've got a few pics on my wall of my finished ones. Sadly my hard drive died late last year, so I only have a few pics of those, but I'll see if I can scavenge one or two up from my ImgageShack account. Thanks for the lovely compliment, too *hug*

Absolute-mutherfrikkin'-genius!
I've got to get me some sandpaper. STAT.

TO THE NOBOMOBILE!
As threatened, I found another one
I'll probably chuck a few up here every now and then just to lull everyone into a false sense of security before BLAM! More Murdoc and Kurt silliness :D

Well, I was going to build myself a webpage, bought the domain SandpaperArt for it and all
but that was years ago and I'd say it's lapsed by now so the field is WIDE OPEN
Anyway, I'd rather share ideas than hoard them, screw that for a game of soldiers. A candle is not dimmed by the lighting of another. Share the wealth, I always say.
I'd like to have a go at scratchboarding one day, but again, maybe when I have more time on my hands. I'm still well in love with this drawing tablet.
