# BRING IT ON LOCOG, YOU SHOWER OF COCKWADS

Probably bindun, but nuts to it.
(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:11, archived)
# Damn those corporations, being all... corporationy!
What do you want? Olympics 2012 sponsored by Mick's fruit & Veg & occupy dalston? Budget £36.59?
(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:12, archived)
# I'd be less bothered by the crass sponsorship
if the fuckers were going to pay any UK tax on their profits
(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:14, archived)
# I don't want the Olympics, really.
But if I did, it would be Aldi and warm offal all the way, yes.
(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:15, archived)
# Sales of warm offal would skyrocket!
Also, i cant tell if i live at coca cola or cadbury
(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:16, archived)
# I live at Cadbury.
Assuming Cadbury is Old Street. Is it?

Anyway, *waves*
(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:20, archived)
# *waves
Im a pwetty Angel, meself.

# The Bull for the win!
(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:36, archived)
# I dunno - bit too crowded in there for my likes. Bavarian beerhouse, Slim Jims & Wenlock & Essex 'for the win' for me!
(, Tue 17 Jul 2012, 0:00, archived)
# Well, if you're down Bavarian Beerhouse way, you're pretty much in my house.
The Eagle. That's the shit right there.

Slim Jim's is good as well - though I resent the whole 'give us your bra for 3 free drinks' policy. I tried handing in my socks but they were having none of it.
(, Tue 17 Jul 2012, 12:05, archived)
# Don't really need any corporate sponsorship
since these corporations are not coughing up all that much compared to the taxpayer so the Limp Icks could be completely advert free and still run as efficiently as it probably will. Which isn't very.
(, Tue 17 Jul 2012, 9:03, archived)
# Better yet
Don't have the games here. Let some other country that isn't a second-rate basket case waste their money on the games.
(, Tue 17 Jul 2012, 12:58, archived)
# Ahaha
Totally clicked. I want to see LOCOG try to sue B3ta.
(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:13, archived)
# I don't want to see this
can't think why
(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:14, archived)
# Aren't the servers hosted in the States? Is that not a defence?
If not, let's not have LOCOG sue B3ta, I quite like it here.
(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:16, archived)
# Ok, if it helps matters, I rescind my earlier 'shower of cockwads' statement and would like to alter it to 'rather pleasant, all round good eggs', if possible.
(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:19, archived)
# BRING IT ON LOCOG, YOU SHOWER OF RATHER PLEASANT, ALL-ROUND GOOD EGG COCKWADS
edit: also, i do really like this
(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:20, archived)
# they are in the States
but I don't really want to spend the next year of my life begging for money online so I can pay for lawyers to defend us
(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:19, archived)
# Hmm. Point taken
LOCOG, if you're reading this, we all think you're wonderfully good eggs, and I would further point out that the picture above which may have you concerned clearly only superficially resembles the O******s logo. I would also point to precedent in the case of Samsung vs Apple, in which it was ruled that Samsung haven't violated Apple's patents because their 'tablet' computer is "less cool" than Apple's, and argue that since the aforementioned picture is significantly cooler than your logo, no transgressions have taken place.
(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:23, archived)
# hahaha
'limp-icks
(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:57, archived)
# So we're not going to have a "Rip the shit out of the olypics" compo then?
(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:18, archived)
# That seems to be happening unofficially this week anyway.
One reason why topical compos can be a bit boring, because the subject has normally been done to death by the time the Image Challenge Vote comes up.
(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:20, archived)
# That's why we should be voting SHEDS
SHEDS
(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:21, archived)
# Fair point....
And up above is about the 5th time I'v misspelt Olympics as well, I'm not even going to edit this time....
(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:24, archived)
# I feel an ORLYPICS rebrand coming on.
(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:27, archived)
# Or limpets ;-)

# I would watch the living fuck out of the Limpet Olympics.
Even if Clare Balding was doing the commentary.

(, Mon 16 Jul 2012, 21:41, archived)

# Oooh, that's quite well done, that!

# Have a click
simply because this 'Olympic Spirit' is a load of bollocks

The ancient Greeks paused wars to participate at Olympia, and it's now funded by a group of multi-internationals claiming exclusive rights to promote their particular product or brand

# London Olympics
A waste of fucking money only of interest to the rich, poncey twats that supported the application. The same twats who think that selling off school sports grounds and destroying playing fields to build houses on is a "Good Thing"(tm).

We could have used that £10billion for something much more worthwhile, but then the money couldn't be siphoned off via tax havens to enrich the rich, poncey twats even more. e.g. selling off the "Olympic village" below cost. So much for a lasting legacy.

Letting junk food provenders sponsor the games? What? Are the athletes going to be sustained on fizzy pop and grease burgers? But I guess it's OK to promote obesity etc so long as you are raking it in. Hypocritical fuckers.

And football an Olympic sport? With the likes of Giggs playing? 1) Football is a shit game of which we have too much already. 2) Giggs et al should be barred from the games for being professionals.

Seriously. Fuck the games.

/rant.

# it never ceases to amaze me how many football haters congregate here
football will improve the games no end, most of the rest of it truly is a pile of wank
(, Tue 17 Jul 2012, 13:04, archived)
# The answer is simple
Football is like a donner kebab; everywhere but anyone with half a brain avoids it.
(, Tue 17 Jul 2012, 13:47, archived)
# I don't hate football, don't like it either.
The fact that the teams are made up of mostly people who could barely point out the city on a map before they play for them. Kissing the badge and then moving months later. The massive money market that is the transfer system, Russian oligarchs, US speculators etc. Ripping off people by changing the strip all the time so kids use pester power to extract more cash etc etc.
(, Tue 17 Jul 2012, 15:28, archived)
# Football has been part of the Olympics for a long time
But this is the first time Great Britain has entered a team. This is why it appears like a new sport for the games. The media ignored it until we entered.
(, Tue 17 Jul 2012, 16:28, archived)
# Don't worry, Subway is a healthy option.
All the athletes love a Subway.

Utterly brilliant, already shown to my Anti-Lympic mates. ;)

#
I think the Summer Olympics are such an Albatross around the necks of taxpayers across the world, that they should be held permanantly in one location and other nations should subsidise this. Somewhere not too wet but not too warm with a great infrastructure. Don't know where that is...
(, Tue 17 Jul 2012, 16:56, archived)
# Unbelievably Brill
Very clever and sadly true!
