# Nicely done.
The police are investigating the case case - English, it's great.
And it's nice to see the word "disparition" being used, instead of "disappearance" - isn't it odd that we use both "apparition" and "appearance" in English, but "disparition" is hardly ever used?

# I think I used "disparition"
just because it's the french word for it.

As words ending in 'tion' are often the same in english and french I used "disparition" without checking it was the proper english word.

thanks for your english lessons :)

# I'm not trying to correct your English -
my own is too wobbly for me to do that.
It's just that "disparition", while quite correct, is a rare word in English, that you seldom see.
Apologies for any offence - let's face it, I wouldn't dare try to write this message in French, while your English is better than many of us can manage.

# I vote for disparition
and award you 10 points. Unfortunately "disparate" means different. There's no "disparate" verb in my dictionary, so I'm editing one in by hand. Je le redact avec mes mains... C'est l'extremite de ma francais...
